Travel infoFrom Airport to Kumpula CampusThe easiest way is to take a taxi outside the terminal to Finnish Meteorological Institute (Ilmatieteen Laitos). The ride takes approximately 30 minutes and will cost around 30-35 €.From Airport to Helsinki City CentreHelsinki-Vantaa Airport is situated about half an hour from the Helsinki City Centre. The easiest way is to take a taxi outside the terminal to your Hotel (costs around 45€). Optionally, you can take either a train or a bus from Helsinki-Vantaa airport to City Centre.The new ring rail line provides transport link from Helsinki city centre to Helsinki Airport. From the Airport you can take the train marked with the letter P, leaving from platform 1 (link to train schedule: https://aikataulut.reittiopas.fi/pysakit/en/4530501.html). The ride takes around 30 minutes and costs 5.50 €. If you decide to take the bus, you can choose between Finnair airport bus (ca. 30 min, € 6.30, tickets available from the driver with cash) and local bus 615 (ca. 40 min, € 5.50, tickets available from the driver and automat, schedule https://aikataulut.reittiopas.fi/linjat/en/b615.html). Both buses and the train eventually arrive at Helsinki Central Railway station.From Helsinki City Centre to Kumpula CampusThe meeting is held in the University Campus, Kumpula Campus, Dynamicum building, which is located approx. 15-20 min tram ride from City Centre. The easiest way is to take the tram no. 6 in front of the Railway station (towards Arabia). Using the tram, you jump off at Kyläsaarenkatu stop (Arabia shopping centre) after a bridge with an allotment on your left side. Campus is situated other side of the main road, at the top of the hill. You can also travel the same route by busses (70, 75, 77, 730-742). Jump off at Kumpula kampus stop.Single tickets are available from ticket machines, bus and tram drivers. You can transfer from one vehicle to another with a single ticket within the validity of the ticket. Single tickets are valid from the moment of purchase and expiry time before which you should board another vehicle is printed on the ticket (approx. 1 hour).
